About AI Tool Guide
AI Tool Guide exists for a specific, stressful moment: the AI product you rely on just changed — a price hike, an acquisition, a shutdown, a bankruptcy — and you need to know what to do right now. Cancel first or export first? Refund from the company or from Apple? Is your data safe?
We publish practical, step-by-step guides for those moments, written fast when news breaks and updated as events develop.
Who's behind this site
AI Tool Guide is run by an independent developer who watches the AI tools space closely — the same person who builds CharPix, a small AI image product. When a guide mentions CharPix, that link is disclosed in the guide itself, and it never changes our rankings or advice: alternatives are ranked on their merits (company stability, features, price), and we list competitors of our own product when they deserve it.
Editorial standards
- Sourced. Claims about companies (filings, bids, lawsuits) are attributed to named publications. We link primary sources where possible.
- Practical over comprehensive. Every guide leads with the actions to take today, in the right order. Background comes second.
- Updated as events develop. Fast-moving stories get re-checked; the "Updated" date at the top of each guide shows when it was last reviewed.
- Corrected in the open. If we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. Spotted an error? Tell us — corrections are genuinely welcome.
- Independent. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or paid by any company we cover. There are no ads and no sponsored placements on this site.
How this site makes money
Currently, it mostly doesn't. Some guides link to CharPix (disclosed above, same owner). There are no display ads, no affiliate links to the services we rank, and no paid placements — so nothing you read here was bought.
